Moon, of Dundee, in November 1893. He was then reported to be childish in manner, usually absolutely taciturn, although cheerful and talkative at times ; patellar reflex absent; loss of control of bladder and rectum ; walking and standing steadily ; occasionally sliding off his chair on to the floor with a thump, and remaining stiff; eyes sometimes open, sometimes closed; no spasm. I found him in bed, his limbs twitching, and his head thrown back; pulse regular and rather slow; pupils normal. No tender spots 011 spine. Absolutely taciturn. No ankle clonus. Knee jerk only on first trial. Cremasteric reflex normal. Hands clasped
